Inspiration/ Story: I was inspired when on a holiday bushwalk and I wrote this poem to go with the painting:
Late afternoon
On Holiday
Just five kilometres
A pretty walk
Dawdling, Too slowly
Pink evening shadows deepen to indigo
It is dark
Which way is home?
The pathways look different
Familiar day noises
turn into scary night noises
Fear! what? why?
Relax all’s safe
Not far to walk
The trees look beautiful
In the moon’s half light.
